Although Roses are our main speciality, Wych Cross Nurseries have one of the biggest ranges of wooden garden furniture you will ever see. We also stock a comprehensive range of garden equipment and sundries, tools and terracotta, stoneware and silk flowers, jams and jellies but, we remain primarily focussed on our reputation as a prolific plant centre with very extensive collections of trees, shrubs, herbaceous and seasonal bedding plants. This section of the website contains information on the different products that we sell and where you can find them on the nursery. They are organised into different categories so they are easy to find.
Sitemap The nursery has grown over the years and although everything is laid out clearly and staff are always ready to lend a helping hand, sometimes it's helpful to know where you're going beforehand!
Country and urban gardens, large and small, can benefit from the great variety of evergreen and deciduous shrubs that are now widely available. At Wych Cross we have a vast range to choose from with particular attention on those that will thrive in our local acid soil.
Alpines are not one of our 'specialties' but we have good stocks of many different plants and our customers keep coming back for them.
Many people expect Ashdown Forest to be predominantly woodland, whereas it is now, as it has always been, predominantly heathland. But there is no shortage of trees for sale at Wych Cross where we have a larger than average selection.
Herbaceous plants generally have enjoyed a massive resurgence in popularity in recent years, which is reflected in the choice we have available all the year round, but especially from April onwards.
At Wych Cross we have a 4000 sq ft showroom dedicated to the display of best quality wooden and cane furniture. Our main range consists of the entire Alexander Rose collection, and we are also stockists for Barlow Tyrie. Alexander Rose:
