Roses
Welcome to the Wych Cross
Rose Catalogue
Britain's best potted Rose selection
with over 1000 varieties.

If you have not bought roses from Wych Cross
before you need to know that we plant all our roses into 5 litre
pots (10 litre pots for all standard roses), which are 25% bigger
than those normally used by most rose growers. We use a specially
prepared compost with an unusually high loam content and a slow
release fertilizer. This produces a quality of rose, especially
later in the season, which we believe is unsurpassed anywhere
and on which our reputation is founded.
We also normally have a wide range of container
grown specimen roses in 10 litre and 15 litre pots (Sometimes
even bigger!)
All our roses are closely inspected and regularly
fed and sprayed throughout the season.
Nevertheless, as with all plants, failures
can occur. Accordingly all our roses carry a copper-bottomed (well
plastic-bottomed, actually!) no quibble, free replacement guarantee.
Because we specialise in the production of
potted and container grown roses, we do not sell our roses bare-root
and therefore regret that:
We are not able to offer
a mail order service - Sorry!
One advantage of not being a mail-order business is that we get the opportunity
to meet all our customers in person. I’ve never come across a business that didn’t
claim to put customer service the number one priority, but we do genuinely like people
here and try to treat customers as our guests. Over the years many of you have become
friends. So whether you are a regular customer or contemplating your first visit,
we look forward to welcoming you to Wych Cross where we will be delighted to discuss,
show off and even - at a pinch - sell you the roses that give us so much pleasure.
