Information Need to know when we open? Need to find out how to get here? Want to contact us? Then look no further! Surroundings Wych Cross Nurseries are set right in the heart of Ashdown Forest, one of the loveliest areas of outstanding natural beauty in South-East England. This is the location where A.A. Milne set his 'Winnie The Pooh' stories. The Nursery itself flows in easy stages down the south facing flank of the forest ridge where it is bounded on three sides by woodland and open farmland with lovely views across the valley. Yet it is only a stones throw from the main A22 London to Eastbourne road, six miles south of East Grinstead, so that access couldn't be easier. The Garden Centre is owned and managed by three families, and despite having grown into one of the premier small garden centres in the region, it still retains the family atmosphere which has been a critical factor in its success. We seek to make all customers welcome as 'guests' and over the years many have become good friends. The establishment has a strong Christian ethos and, possibly uniquely for a garden centre, we do not open on Sundays! Opening Times Monday to Saturday: 9.00 - 5.30 The Hybrid Tea Room works on slightly different opening times and is open 10.00 - 4.30 (4.00 in the winter) The Nursery is closed on Sunday How To Find Us Finding us is easy! Situated just 4 miles south of East Grinstead on the main A22 London to Eastbourne road
